Need To Know Basis

The book of Job has a shocking climax. Job had maintained his integrity through unimaginable suffering asking God for an audience, an explanation, and an answer all along the way. Amazingly, God shows up to answer Job's desperate pleas for explanation but when He does something even more surprising happens. God doesn't come to Job to comfort and coddle as we might expect. Instead, the kid gloves are off as God delivers the hard medicine we all need. In the end we are challenged to consider that life's hardest question isn't "Why is this happening?" but rather "Do I really need to know why?" What if sometimes we actually need NOT to?
