Do You Know Who You're Dealing With?

Following His controversial table flipping in the Temple, the chief priests, unfamiliar with His game, challenge Jesus authority. Jesus knows who He's dealing with, and goes on the offensive delivering a string of devastating parables. The second of these, the parable of the tenants serves as a mirror, reflecting not just the corruption of ancient religious leaders, but our own tendencies to resist God's authority in our lives. Are we truly allowing God to be the owner of our vineyard, or are we, like the tenants, trying to run things our way - constantly challenging Jesus authority as Lord of our lives? It's a sobering reminder that even those who consider themselves religious can miss the true nature of God's kingdom. Jesus knows who He's dealing with, but do you?
