Hope In The Dark

God's intervention in setting Peter free from prison is an event that Peter would never forget. It’s something that those praying for Peter would never forget. And, as it was recoded by Luke at the behest of the Holy Spirit – it is something that God never wanted US to forget. Peter’s prison Passover is a moment that God intended to be a formative moment for the church…it’s a core memory for us. If such a prison break would feel like a fantasy to us, it is one that the Spirit wants us to have, to hold onto, and to make real in people’s lives. If offers us something real in the most trying of times - hope in the dark.
