Family

What if you truly understood what it means to be a child of God? Not just knowing about God, but experiencing the full weight of being adopted into His family? Drawing from Galatians 3 and 4, we discover three life-changing realities of being adopted into God's family: we have an inheritance beyond comprehension, intimacy with unlimited access to our Father, and a completely new identity that sets us free from slavery to others' expectations, our performance, and all that fuels our anxieties.

The inheritance Paul describes in Romans 8 isn't about effervescent dreams of heaven, it's a glory so magnificent that all of creation groans waiting for it to be revealed through us. Our future selves will be so infused with majesty, wisdom, and beauty that the most breathtaking moments we've experienced on earth are merely shadows of what's coming. When we truly grasp this, nothing in this present life can shake us because we're heirs to something incomparably greater. God is not a cosmic boss for whom we perform to curry favor. He's our loving Father - and Jesus paid the adoption price we could never afford, experiencing separation from the Father on the cross so we could be brought into the family forever.
